Spring Fling

I felt like Danny Tanner this weekend but I couldn’t help it, I was so excited to Spring Clean! I know how lame this sounds but I actually woke up at 6:30 on Saturday in anticipation. Not sure what that says about me but I think I have been living/working in this mess long enough it was time to get a little order around these parts. Spent the weekend organizing the home & the workspace and I have to tell you, feels pretty good. Let’s hope the warmer weather follows suit.

Jet Laggin’

Wow, isn’t it amazing how the worlds works? Yesterday I woke up in Prague and fell asleep in Brooklyn- just your typical Wednesday. The trip was perfect from start to finish. I had the most amazing time and according to the scale {hello 5 lbs.} I clearly enjoyed myself. Europe was filled with cheese, wine, croissants {seeing a trend here?} boat rides, museums, more cheese, more wine, long walks, deep belly laughs, stupid jokes, truffle oil, overnight trains, even more cheese, even more wine and a 4 person bike. I couldn’t have asked for a better time! I am feeling relaxed and inspired although I think I have become addicted to hotel breakfasts. Below are a few snaps from the tour de euro. Enjoy!

Girl Crush

I took a little break from the craziness go to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals last night at Irving Plaza. This was my second time seeing her live but this time it was an entirely different show. She came out and rocked it in a little sequin number playing the organ, singing lead and rocking out on her flying V guitar. It was full of energy and sass. I kept thinking how much fun she was having up there {not to mention every dude in the place was drooling over her} she has got some serious chops and this is her year for sure. I am in girl crush mode hard.

Travel Bug

I have the travel bug bad these days! I have been craving a really good, long, far away trip. When you work from home your world gets pretty small (desk, coffee shop, deli, and back to your desk) so it was time to get some perspective on the bigger picture. Where better to do that than in Eastern Europe! (ok, I can think of a few other places but this works) I am so excited that two weeks from TODAY I will be getting on a plane to do a little tour of Prague, Budapest and Vienna with 3 of the best ladies I know. I can’t wait for good Czech beers, weird foods and some seriously beautiful sites. Bring it on!

Must. Go. Here. NOW

First, I fell in love with the Pantone chip books. {I have a framed print in my apartment that is full of just loose PMS chips} Then, I had a design geek out when I found out Pantone made mugs, notebooks, tins and pens. I thought my love for all things Pantone had peaked… but I was wrong. My good friend Trisha blew my mind today with THIS– The Pantone HOTEL!! What? Design Folk- can you back me up that this might be the coolest hotel ever? I have found my Mecca.

{I mean… a BIKE?!}
